Fur or Feathers

 Hello my lovelies,

Over at Fab'n'Funky challenges the new theme is.........

Fur or Feathers

yes any furry or feathery creature will do as you feature

(Ooow sneaky bit of rhyming there)

This was a true dilema for me, so many stamps (20yr collecting), so much choice, what is a woman to do....................

WINTER SCENE......

yes that's the answer

a wintery scene with wintery creatures....Hmmm

yes absolutely perfect idea...

The surrounding colours had to be light enough to make the robins stand out, and I don't think I did too bad a job.

I didn't blend the leaves quite as well as I could have, but I don't think it's bad.

Stamp - FTLS Robin's Beautiful Bouquet

Inks - Momento tuxedo black, S.U. ceertainly celery

Punch - S.U. Oval 1.75"

Pens - Promarkers:-

Robins - Oatmeal, Burnt orange & Cocoa

Boot - Denim blue, Twilight sky, Tan, Moss & Ice grey5

Flowers - Apple cider, Moss, Budding rose & dusky rose.

Bakers twine was from stash (unsure of how long ago???)

Simple layering technique to build the card.

Remember to drop by and share some love with the wonderful DT's

Back soon.........

Spooky season fast approaches

I love this time of year

Pumpkin pie, hot totties and the little children in their halloween costumes, so much fun.

As you may remember I crochetted a little witch and a candy-corn, see here

Well I made a slightly larger candy-corn keyring with eyes

So now on to the card-making, I spotted that The Sisterhood of Crafters had an exciting challenge

Pumpkins!!!

So pleased to be able to put my WMS stampset to good use again, it was getting lonely on the shelf.

Although there is a pumpkin promarker, I used it the least. Apricot, honeycomb a little pumpkin and some moss green helped to give the pumpkins a more rounded appearence. With a tiny pop of white gel pen on top.

The apples are crimson, poppy and cardinal. Pear is lemon, lime green and apple green. Lastly the grapes are plum, orchid and violet.

White and Honeycomb cardstock.

And when you spend quite a bit of time on the card, well then envelope has to have a hint of something

I would also like to enter this card into the following fabulous challenges:

Hope you are all as excited about Halloween as I am.

Keep crafting and smiling

Show your Colouring

So been a little while but I think I'm slowly getting back to me, which is a great thing.

Baked butter bread with my granddaughter, crocheted a witch & a candy corn BUT I also got back to some card-making.

And, our challenge this week over at Fab'n'Funky challenges is:

Show us your colouring

yeah, cool challenge right, so simple. So whether your a fan of pencils, markers, crayons or paint, just go wild and show us what ya got.

As you may have guessed I'm a fan of Promarkers, but here I allowed the cardstock to tell me where to add colour. Tan & sandstone promarkers to add shadows to the wals, terracota for the bricks and chimneys and a variety of greens for all the foliage. Plus, just for fun, a white gel pen for the cute picket fence, door and window sills.

This was also a multi layer masking excerise. Fence first, then the conifer, next the house and finally the small stones at the front.

Please visit all our lovely DT's and leave them some well deserved love.

I'll share my crochet makes next time.

Christmas is approaching Beware of cute animals

How fast has this year gone?!?!? I know time is supposed to pass faster as you get older but DAMN!!! An entire year in 5 minutes......I want a recount!!

Well on the plus side we are still preparing for Christmas over at Fab'n'Funky challenges. Our latest challenge is.....

Christmas Animals

Yes cute little Christmas creatures, the cuter the better 😉

Of course this meant digging out and brushing off a firm favourite stamp set of mine, For the Love of Stamps - Furry & Bright

Aren't they just the cutest little guys

I have definitely gotten into CAS (Clean And Simple) card-making this year, although I'm not sure how strictly CAS they are.

This little set of Christmas card had multiple masking layers.

I always start with my main character (creating a mask on a sticky note), once that's stamped and the amsk is on I work out what & where. In this case it was the presents next as I wanted them to be in front of the tree, these then needed masks. Finally I stamped the tree.

So this is why I'm not 100% sure these are full CAS, technically they aren't that simple. For seasoned card-makers it would be so simple, but if you're new to card-making is it?

Hmmm, maybe a video tutorial is in order.........I've not done a youtube one in some time.......

Oh alright you twisted my arm, I'll make one this afternoon, edit it tomorrow morning and hopefully have a link up here by tomorrow afternoon.
You're so demanding........😁

Back tomorrow

Pearls & Lace

What a wonderful week we are having over at Fab'n'Funky challenges

"Pearl & Lace"

We have a rather special birthday coming up in our house, so I may have gotten a little carried away with the girly pearls.

Pearly edge and big Lacey numbers, I don't think I could have made it much girlier than I have.
(No , she's not a lacy girly girl, that's what makes it fun)

Backing paper - something from stash (years old)
Stamp - Dolly Dimple Crafts - Fab Cake 3
ProMarkers - Almond, Blush, Oatmeal, Wild cranberry, Crimson, Cider apple, Olive green, Orchid, Lilac, Plum, Bright orange and Sunflower

Don't forget to visit all our lovely DT ladies and leave them some love.

Hugs & Happy thoughts
