Trip down memory lane

I was having a peek through some of my old post.
It's hard to believe I've been blogging for at over 10 years, since 2007 to be exact.

Anyway I've picked out a couple of favourites to share again

A Day at Doncaster - 2011 - hubby didn't enjoy the day and I just can't imagine why 😂 lack of trains I reckon

Happy Anniversary - Less is More - 2011 - got to love a One-Layer card

No Mistletoe Just Wine - 2016 - the saddest thing about this is my sis-in-law never got this card because I put it in a safe place.......................🤦

Kraft Away - 2016 - Ah my adventure into quilting.....

Fab'n'Funky Time Again - 2016 - Looking through all these posts, we seem to spend a lot of time at Donington Park Racetrack

Card Tutorial PLUS Hire a stall?? Oh Help  -  ah Christmas cards for the masses or should that be for my children to give out😂

Holy Crochet Batman - 2012  -  I can't believe how excited I got when this happened, especially since I can now whip up anything I set my heart on making.
But you know what they say "You can never beat your first time 😉

Well that's it for this trip down memory lane, I hope you found something to inspire you.
I have met some amazing people an made some great friends, Thank You xx

Dainty Doily

Good morning to you all

It's a wee bit foggy here but it looks like the sun is going to win the battle.

We have a fabulous challenge for you this week over at Fab'n'Funky Challenges.

Doily
We would love to see your card/project with a doily

I have turned my doily into something girly
Yes I've taken the Fan option, it was originally a circular tea party doily from Dovecraft.
To make each fan blade stand out I used a sakura clear gel pen.
Give it a nice shiny edge

We always look forward to seeing your entries so pop on over to Fab'n'Funky and remember to leave our lovely design team some positive vibes.

Back soon with more crafting

GREAT news Great-Nephew

So my nephew and his lovely wife had their first baby the other day, he weighed 9lb 4oz. So he's no featherweight.
Our new great-nephew, isn't he adorable. Looks just like my nephew when he was a baby. (except cuter....haha)
I have made them this card to congratulate them on their new arrival.
I have been really getting used to my new toy (scan'n'cut) and had lots of fun working out sizes to cut. But the hardest decision was on which colours to choose. Now call me old fashioned but I'm very much a "Blue for Boys" kind gal.
I added Sakura crystal gel pen to the egdes of all the light-blue cut-out pieces as well as a few colour complimenting gems.
But the insert was made with a little more love.
It is a rare day that I make the effort to get my coloured pencils out but this was so worth the effort.
I felt my Promarkers would be too harsh for an insert.
I used Spectrum Noir Coloured Pencils - 7, 38, 64, 69, 110, 114 & 118.

I have decided to emter this card into a challenge -
Another quick reminder;
My candy giveaway is still up for grabs , click HERE for more details and the Inlink
You have till Friday evening to enter.

Back soon with more sharing

My daughter passed her driving test.....WOO HOO!!!
She's never been a girly-girl and really does like fuss so the challenges at
And

 Crazy 4 Challenges - #324 sketch

I knew what to make, something simply and clean and slightly understated - just like she'd want
I went through several different fonts to find the one I thought best suited this modest celebration. I carefully added a tiny amount of black ink to the edges of the L-plate befroe I ripped it, purely to make it stand out from it's white background. The road is some textured black card with a chalk pen to make the road-markings.
The inside had a bit more of congrats from us to her.
