Old MacDonald

We are having a relaxing time down on the farm over at Fab'n'Funky challenges this week.

So let us see your farmyard fun, it can be scarecrows, tractors, farmers, farm animals or a combination of all of them.

I have gone a bit CAS on this one

This adorable little lamb and piglet are from two of the "For the Love of Stamps" sets. I used ProMarkers :- Cool grey 2 for the hooves, blushing rose for the piglet and Almond for the lambs face.
The die cut No.1 and st are from a lovely little Die cut number set I found on Ebay, only £4. I actually cut them in white card and then used Sunflower ProMarker to match them to the backing layer.

Pop over and leave some love on our DT ladies blogs.

Back soon with more sharing.

#500th Challenge Post

Hello and welcome to all the hoppers,

I am so happy to be hosting our very special challenge post here at Fab'n'Funky Challenges. I am also happy to be your first pot-of-call.

So I shall do my best not to give anything away, you have to follow the clues 😃

I believe Kraft is a very understated colour when it comes to card making, which is a shame.

Kraft always reminds me of freshly baked cookies and if you stick it with a colour like yellow........aah warm cookies on a sunny winters day. (oh dear, now I'm going to have to bake some cookies)

As you may have already guess I use this stamp a lot. I think out of all of my LOTV stamps he is my absolute favourite.
I used  sandstone, tan & cinnamon ProMarkers for the bear and lemon, sunflower & gold for the flower, the stem & leaves are pear green with a hint of forest green. The flower were created using a punch from S.U. and their centres are tiny wooden gems.

I hope you have enjoyed my post, don't forget to leave a comment before you take your next hop.

Your next clue word is

Enjoy your hop

Think Colour

Hello,
we are thinking about colour over at The Male Room but only 3 of them.
Blue, Orange and Yellow.
Any type of project you like as long as you stick to the colour pallette. I have made a super simple  birthday card for a friend who I know will throughly love it.

My shear cheekiness will be warmly welcomed............along with a pint of their favourite poison of course!
Well, off to put the finishing touches to another project.
Back real soon

B Mojo

Good evening and what a lovely day we've had here in Derbyshire.
I have made a dual challenge card that I want to share with you all.

So my "beginning with B" is a simple butterfly with a slight twist, I used good old fashioned greaseproof paper to create it.
The papers, frilled ribbon and candy-dots are all from the bottom of my stash

I die-cut white paper plus greaseproof and then coloured in the greaseproof layer with a yellow Promarker.
I love the fact that you can hardly see the colour.

Back very soon with lots more crafting fun

Simple card

Today we shall mostly be making easy'n'simple cards

Challenge card to share with you all. This one is for the CR84FN colour challenge

and here is what I came up with
I have gone super simple on this one. I simply stamped the different coloured card with their matching inks to create quick and easy backing paper. It is quite hard to see the stamp but the stamped image on the tan section is from an old (ancient more like) stamp set I have.
Who are they????
See D's
Yes you heard me right, See D's stamp sets. This was one of my very first stamp sets I every ordered online. Needless to say I can't find anywhere that still stocks these, but here is the set I used: "Blooming Friends"
I have 5 other sets, which I am definately going to start using again.
The butterfly & bumble-bee stamp is from S.U. Sweet Summer, the papers and inks are also S.U. and the yellow gingham ribbon was lurking in the bottom of my sewing box.
Back really soon

feelin Blue and Mowed down till you Yelled me

Hello again,
yes another bizarre title, but did you work out the colours? Well Blue was the obvious one, did you get Yellow from yelled? and what about the last colour Mowed...grass...Green? I know it's weird but being out of work I'm trying desparately to keep the old grey matter as active as possible.
I won't always include a bizarre title people so don't panic.

Today is all about colours. This is my second colour challenge of the day and I have to admit I have followed CR84FN for quite some time now. I may not have always joined in with the challenges but that was more to do with my lack of confidence than anything else.

So without further ado, here is this weeks colour challenge colours CR84FN64

I think my post title goes well with the quote on this weeks challenge. I think I probably come under the different way thing.

I have gone for the layered approach. The card and backing layers are yellow, the faint flower are in a very light green the the main image is in a lightish blue with green foliage.
  • Card - S.U. Daffodil delight and whisper white
  • Inks - S.U. Marine mist, Lucky limeade, Certain celery
  • Stamp - S.U. Faith in Nature and Fresh vintage sets.
I shall be back soon, but for the moment I'm just finishing the shrinking of all the fabrics so I can make my new quilt cover. Have to make it, I couldn't find a single thing I liked in the shops.

I've used another Lili of the Valley stamped images from the freebie stack, some yellow gingham paper lurking in my stash, kraft paper for the buttons and backers, harlequin ribbon, papermania lemon sorbet flowers and of course Promarkers.
The buttons are from an Annemarie die set, and the large backer is a spellbinder die

Mono Yellow

Hello again ladies,
I seem to be on a roll this week, so without further ado........
here is a two challenge card

I used varying shades of Yellow, yes they are all yellows

I used a Lili of the Valley image (from a stack I got free with a mag, but will probably have to invest in as she's sooo sweet), white square card blank, Honeycomb paper from my stash (years old I think), Yellow Papermania paper flowers and mini buttons, various yellow Promarkers and a clear Sakura Stardust pen. Oh and the Harlequin Yellow ribbon from create and craft (also had for years).

I hope it brings a ray of sunshine into your day
