Been busy without broadband

My broadband is still playing silly beggers. So I have been quite consumed with card making.
Here are a few of my recent makes

I used my Stampin Up and Waltzing Mouse stamp sets, some green paper that was free from a mag, orange paper from my stash and orange distress ink (I can't remember the colours name)

For this I used Stormy sky distress ink, Waltzing Mouse stamps-Irish Blessings and Say it with Style, and some blue paper I've had lying around for years.

Here I used SWALK and Waltzing Mouse stamp sets, paper from the spring collection mag and a few pink pearls.

The adorable free Tatty Teddy stamp and Waltzing Mouse Say it with Style and Irish Blessings, Brushed cordouroy distress ink and again paper I've had for years.

All with corresponding ribbons

Well, I have to go now as my daughter and son-in-law-to-be are starting to argue.
So home I go and pray to the god of broadband to restore my connection.

CR84FN challenge card

I really liked this colour combo the CR84FN32 gave us this time

I can only hope my humble card has done it justice

I realise my colours are fairly pale but I just love these papers. The flower was made using a Marianne die, I cut 2 of the flower then interlinked them and used yellow ribbon rolled up for the centre.

It is only a matter of a couple of days now and we will have a new broadband supplier.

Dabbling at Derby Dabblers

What a great evening at the Derby and Spondon Dabblers.
We made made these great drinks cards, admittedly I went off on a tangent. Instead of Pink Lemonade, I made Jack D with ice and a slice.

But hey, nobodies perfect.

Bottoms Up

Cute card for three challenges

Hello again, aren't I busy today.

After downloading an adorable little free diggie stamp, I was inspired to create this little card for the Truly Scrumptious sketch challenge Flutter by Wednesday colour challenge Pink, Orange and Green and the Gem of a Challenge 2

Truly Scrumptious sketch

So here is my card:

The paper is from my stash, the caterpillar was a free digi stamp from Pink Gem Designs.
I kept the sentiment simple to cover any occasion, although I think it would make quite a nice new born card.

I'm ahead for a change

Now, anyone who knows me well, knows I never start xmas cards til October.

Well.....I've turned over a new leaf:

Yes.....xmas cards......!!!!!!!
I've made several of each design. I decided to go for simple and understated.

Happy Anniversary - Less is More

My daughter has again allowed me to use her broadband, bloomin dodgy service providers.

I was quite fascinated by the Less is More challenge this week, "One Layer" in the frame

and here is my card

I used my fabulous WM stamps - celtic heritage, large post-it notes (for masking), and momentos inkpads.
I had to mask off the swirly circles to add the frame and clover. Then just stamped the sentiment.

And a big welcome to Lisa Petrella, thank you for following

Jane's Card

Before my daughter kicks me off her broadband, I have another card I designed for two challenges:

So here is my take on these challenges:

Photo is not great, but there is a light kraft stamped pattern on the card blank. I used lace that corresponded to the lighter colours of the challenge (kraft and vanilla).

Hope you like it

Joshua's Card

Hello all,
our internet is totally dead, but my eldest has kindly allowed me to hook up at hers.

I have been quite busy with my card making, I have created a card for my god-son, based on the Waltzing Mouse sketch challenge and the DeNami Colour challenge

Here is my card:

I made a kraft card blank and used my spellbinders to cut the portholes. I then used the same die lus the next size up to make the framework for the portholes. The submarine I stamped when I was at my friends (think I'll add this one to my birthday list), the seaweed and fish were drawn freehand. I added cystal stickles to the bubbles.

Anne's 21st Birthday

I look back and it seems like only yestarday Anne was this tiny little monster getting up to all sorts of mischeif.
When did her 21st birthday sneak up on us!!!!!!!! Dear god I'm getting old...lol

This is the card I made her for her special day, I based it around two challenge, CR84FN colour challenge #31 and the Card Patterns sketch challenge #118

I had these floral papers in my stash for months and wasn't sure how to use them til I saw the challenges.

I then cut them to fit the cream card blank, with the leftovers I die-cut the scalloped embelishment and punched the frilly border with a martha stewart border punch. I aged the edges with corresponding inks, added pink pearls to the flower centres and stamped her name and age on the card.
So a nice girly card for my very gothy daughter.......lol

Anne's card

Knowing the kids would need cards for there big sisters birthday, I whipped up this little one:

quite a simple card, a little bit of grape ink stamped using dainty doillies on the card blank, then some lovely black paper with grey dragonflies, a strip of which was folded consetina style to form the body of the rosette. Purple mirror card for the rosette backing and the "just fo you" circle, plus the scalloped circle in the centre of the rosette.

I think she liked it, it was hard to tell as she was too busy hiding her birthday cake from the restraunt staff.

Lovely day of stamping

Been stamping my way through my friends stamp collection and can't wait to make lots of cards with the little nicknaks I've stamped. Of course Debs had lots of fun playing with my stamp collection as well.

Here is my new card which I am entering in the Colour Q challenge and the Mojo Monday challenge

My card

I used the halfpint heroes stamp set, Kraft paper, ProMarkers for the submarine and panels, Wonky square nestie and white papermainia quad. I quite like the way that the colours have not taken away the boyish appeal.

Well, back to playing with Debs stamps.....I do wish I had as many as her........
