Sew busy

Back again,
I've created another duel challenge card. The two challenge sites are

It's a lovely pallete for a masculine card but I jsut couldn't resist using my new Kanban stamp

  • Stamps - Kanban Vivienne and (cardmaking mag freesbie) Sew Pretty Vintage
  • Card/Paper - S.U. textured Daffodil delight and Papermania Kraft
  • Ink - S.U. Basic grey, Night of navy and crumb cake
  • Stash - kraft coloured lace and white satin butterfly
I'm quite pleased at how the background turned out. The scissors and needle in grey, buttons in navy and the cotton reels in crumb cake (didn't have kraft ink).
But I'm very pleased with the lace at the bottom of the dress.

Back soon peeps
Take care

Trying new techniques

Good evening all,
I'm being a little daring and dabbling with new techniques, and having great fun doing so.

I have created the following card for two challenges

and here it is (sorry the photo isn't too good)

Autumnal distress

I used masking tape, post-it masks, perfect medium, clear embossing powder, a freebie leaf stamp, a second-hand leaf stamp, a second-hand butterfly stamp, and a sentiment stamp (can't remember what set), Distress ink pads and rust coloured ribbon (out of a top).
The butterfly is double embossed.

I'm rather pleased with the outcome considering it is my first attempt at this one layer technique, yes I know, adding the butterfly gives an extra layer but otherwise it's flat.
I shall definately be having more goes at this method.

Hope you all have a lovely evening

Cute card for three challenges

Hello again, aren't I busy today.

After downloading an adorable little free diggie stamp, I was inspired to create this little card for the Truly Scrumptious sketch challenge Flutter by Wednesday colour challenge Pink, Orange and Green and the Gem of a Challenge 2

Truly Scrumptious sketch

So here is my card:

The paper is from my stash, the caterpillar was a free digi stamp from Pink Gem Designs.
I kept the sentiment simple to cover any occasion, although I think it would make quite a nice new born card.

New cards

I've finally got back in to the swing of things.
Here are a few of my recent creations.

Time for Cake
I'm quite pleased with how this turned out.
The cupcakes were a bit of a problem to start with, but then I remember a demo I saw about using pinflair glue to layer elements.

Butterfly Just for You
I recent purchased this fabulous butterfly die-cutter (Marianne) and just couldn't wait to use it.
I have also started a design/ideas book, I was inspired by my dear friend Deborah who wouldn't be without hers. I'm sure it will soon go everywhere with me, just like my camera.

Hope you like my designs

On the early shift tomorrow, so, time to get ready for bed.
