They can be the hardest people to make a card for............
I almost forgot one of my work colleague's birthday........sinful!
But I put my nose to the grindstone and came up with the perfect card for him, so I'm entering it into 2 challenges;
The Male Room
CASology
So for his birthday card, I used a decorating theme as he bought his first house not long ago
I've gone for a very simple cleanish look. This stamp is one of my more recent acquisitions and I think he's quite sweet.
Stamps - LOTV Lick of Paint and WMS Compact Sentiments
Colour - Various Promarkers and SU inkpad Not Quite Navy
Some wood effect backing paper from my stash
I am actually quite pleased with how it turned out.
Well, I better finish typing up this recipe before my eldest starts calling for my blood...lol
Oh yes, I have a secret and I promise to share it soon
Hugs

Choices, choices
Good evening
I've made my brother-in-laws card. I've decided to enter it into the ABC Challenge
He's not a gardening guru but he does like to potter about a bit so I thought this stamp was perfect.
Plus I couldn't wait any longer to use this cute stamp. I also had a few metal charms in my stash that were longing to be used.
Stamps - LOTV Vegetable Patch, LOTV Simply Sophisticated & WMS Lil Buddies
Dies - Tattered Lace Hexagons & Tattered Lace Floret Blossom
Colouring - Various Promarkers
Adhesives - Pinflair & Redtape
I'm also going to share with you a slightly blurry photo I took a couple of hours ago.
This slightly blurry fluff ball is a Robovoski dwarf hamster and she belongs to our youngest daughter.
This fluff ball is called Nibbles and she really does live up to her name.
I just couldn't resist getting a piccie of her in her blurry eyed state, trying to munch on a hamster treat.
Well off to write up my meatloaf recipe, I promised our eldest that I'd write it down for her so she can teach her brother-in-law how to make it. I'll convert it to a PDF and put it in my Downloads, when I've completed it.
Hugs

Salted Caramel Crispies
I am currently writing up my recipe for these lovely little treats.
These are my Salted Caramel Crispies and I am very pleased to say that everyone in my office who tried one really liked them. (Yes, I actually managed to sneak some out of the house)
I will hopefully have the recipe write-up finished and on my blog by tomorrow evening. (photos included).
I am considering converting it to a PDF so anyone who would like my recipe can just download it and have a go.
I will share a sneak peek of my xmas cards for this year.
Here is sneak peek 1
Any fans of WMS will no doubt recognise this character.
My wonderful husband bought me this stamp set for xmas last year and I have been frantically experimenting with colour styles. But I finally settled on the look I wanted
My xmas reveal might surprise you.
Well, it's getting late and this recipe won't finish writing itself

WMS Thank Q
I know, I know, another weird title,
but hey..........being normal is soooo overated!!!! :)
So to explain the title, two challenges that almost begged me to be put them together...
Interesting combination I thought, although I've never heard of Dusty Durango, so substituted in Cajun Craze.
Rather than add a die-cut shape to the card I decided to take it away, by using it purely as a inking template. I then used a marker to highlight the shape.

The sentiment and half the flags are stamped in S.U. Soft Suede, top left corner is S.U. Rich Razzleberry, bottom right corner S.U. Pumpkin Pie and the champagne flute and rest of the flags are in S.U. Cajun Craze (seemed closest to the colour)
The stamps are from Waltzing Mouse Join Us stamp set.
Hope you like my little creation

But never mind that, here is a card I've made for the Mojo Monday 227 Challenge
I liked the look of this sketch
and here is my interpretation:
