Not a brilliant blogger

Oh dear, I've been that caught up in getting some cards made I've really let my blog slip.

I have created a card for the CR84FN29 color challenge

It seemed weird at first, but it is definitely growing on me,

I made it for my daughters future m-i-l, I hope she likes it.

Craft Room.....WooHoo

I have a craft room.......Wooooohooo!!
Now I know it doesn't look like much, some of you have spare bedrooms for crafting, but this is huge as far as I'm concerned.

I still have to put up my little shelf unit which will sit where my purple craft trolley is and then I can move the rest of my gear up there.

I've been doing a little bit of study into structural integrity and think I've found a way to open up this space by a tiny bit. It just a case of weight redistribution. I'm pretty good at joinery so it shouldn't be too hard, the hard part will be convincing the husband that I've gotten all my figures correct.......not an easy task

Off to play

Pink n Brown Picnic

Hello
I haven't been around much in the last few days as I've been flooring my loft so my craft gear and I will have our own little home.
I have made a card which I hope you will all enjoy,

I based the layout on the sketch challenge for A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge #151,
I am entering it into the I Love ProMarkers challenge #65 "Pink and Brown", the Allsorts Challenge Blog week 103 "Teddy Bears Picnic" and the Cute Card Thursday #164 "It's so Distressing".

I had planned to enter it into the Cupcake Craft Challenge, but the loft flooring took a little longer than I had hoped.
Oh well

Red Orange and White

This little card was created for two challenges, unfortunately I have missed one of them.
The challenges were:

  • Card patterns Sketch 114
  • The Play Date Cafe challenge # 80
I have missed the Play Date challenge, but I'm entering it into the card patterns challenge still.

I used red ink around the edges and for the sentiment, a free orange paper for the scallop, butterfly and background and red textured paper behind the butterfly.

For a friend

I made this especially for a friend who has been on her travels, I hope she likes it.

Using a few papers free from magazines and out of the Docraft goody bag, some Momentos inks, a little lace, promarkers and a swalk stamp. And of course some gold mirror card.

All boxed in

Good morning all,
I haven't quite finished sorting everything that needs photograghing, but here's a little taster:

It is my friend Jane's anniversary soon so instead of just a card:

I plan to add chocs and mini Jack Daniels to the drawers (they both like their chocs n whisky)

Got the box from create and craft website, but I wasn't too keen on the card toppers they supplied

I think I'm falling in love with these S.W.A.L.K. stamps, aren't these two kissing just sweet.
Back soon with more

Triple Challenge card

I have combine three challenges for my new card, a little bit daring for me,
  • Dream Valley Challenges - Challenge 6 "Flowers"
  • Colour Create Challenge Blog - Challenge 69 "Pink, Blue & Brown"
  • Truly Scrumptious - Sketch challenge 56

I decided to combine all three after I looked in my stash box and had a little lightbulb moment. I'm reasonably pleased with the outcome:

I found some wood effect paper, whilst looking for some brown, this then got me thinking of flowers, which then lead to the thought of trellis and so the card came together.
The 2 large flowers were created using Blossom 3 die, the 2 smaller flowers are cut with a Marianne die (as are the leaves).

CR84FN n Flutter by Wednesday Challenge card

I've created this card based on two different challenges:

  • Flutter by Wednesday - 3 flowers, 2 patterned papers and a button
  • CR84FN - Colour challenge

I created the Kraft coloured paper using white pearl paper, kraft ink pad and brown ink pad. It's a little difficult to see in this photo (I didn't take the shimmer into consideration). The pale yellow patterned paper is from the papermania Lemon Sorbet set, as are the buttons inside the flowers. The leaves are made from the leftover wedges (cut from the flower circles) and highlighted with Bamboo momentos ink. The central image is a rose stamp I've owned for years, and coloured in using promarkers.

The butterfly and scalloped circle are gold mirror card. The lace trim is from our local market. I added a tiny hint of bamboo momento ink to the corners of the card to bring out  the pale yellows.

Well back to card-making, I hope you enjoy my card
