In the 3rd advent window

A little later than normal but........
Here we go again everyone, are you ready?

In the 3rd advent window
My calendar gave to me
a cute little cherub die

This little chap proved to be a bit of a chellenge. Then I remembered that I had birthday card to make. Elegant, that is what the card needed to be, so that is what I tried to achieve.
I chose a sublte colour pallette, and I had this lovely free downloaded image from Dreamees. I used cream and grey card for the layering and black for the cherubs. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Clarity stamps.

I am entering this into

No Mistletoe Just Wine

Hello all,
I've made a lovely little card for my sis-in-law based on 2 challenges:

and
This is another new For the Love of Stamps set - It's Wine O'clock.
The vines are in Emerald envy, grapes in Mint macaron and Wine glass + sentiment in Dapper denim.
I swapped the colours of the vines and grapes on the insert..
She loves a good glass of wine so hopefully she'll love this too.

Off to make the dinner.
Back soon

Triple Stamp Sketch

Hello again,
I spotted two interesting challenges I thought would work well together.

 Freshly Made Sketch #232

 The Male Room #33

A nice simple design with sublte colours, that any man might be happy to receive.

Of course I had to make the inserty match the exterior.......
I used two tones of brown ink to give the image a little more depth. Plus a dark brown promarker so the cacti had a little more dimension. The moon has a little chalk pen to give it glow.

Well back soon with more designs

Freshly Made Card and

What a fab weekend!!!
I have managed to get to Dabblers, finish the share squares I'm making for Kimmy on Ravelry, make several flowers for an upcoming yarn-bomb and............

make a card for the Freshly Made Sketch competion
our brother-in-laws birthday is the same day as mine, so no excuses for forgetting..and here is my take on the sketch:
Inks - SU Cherry cobbler, SU Crumb cake, SU Sandstone
Card - White, SU Cherry cobbler & Kraft
Stamps - WMS Gingham&Co, Chronology(free set from mag)

I had thought of using golf clubs but discovered I didn't have a stamp. I was sure I had one...oh well!

I thought I would also share my yarn-bomb flowers with you

I have inset a different angled image of each flower to give a better sense of one. The top 2 flowers is are Dahlias and the bottom one is a Damask Rose
I am very pleased that I finished the share squares I was doing for Kimmy.

She asked for blues or grey, so I hope she likes the blues I picked.
I decided to use the ferris wheel pattern because she said it was for her husband.

Well back to the hook & yarn and whip up a few more flowers

Hugs
Buffy xx
