Nothing like a card, just HAPPYINGS

Back again
And sharing my HAPPYINGS
For those of you whom are facebook friends, you will know all about the "Happy Jar".
But let me explain, a happy jar is where you put little notes about things you have accomplished, things that have made you proud of yourself, goals reached.....etc. OR just something that made you happy that day/week.
At the end of 2013, new years eve (or whatever year) you open your jar and remove the notes and read them.
This will become a happy day of happy memories that no-one can take away from you. It will push away (or at least weaken) all the negative things that may have happened during the year.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - anything but a card

So to my offering for this challenge

It may not win the turner prize, but it is going to make a happy ending to 2013.
I've called mine Happy Happenings (or Happyings)

I created a little pouch for the note-paper, so it is always ready for a new happy happening.

I also stamped each little note-paper in different subtle colours

As you can see, I have already started adding my happyings.

Why don't you join me in Happyings-ness by creating your own Happy Jar and sharing a few of your happy notes at the end of the year. (If you do, let me know by leaving a link in the comments)
I shall definately come back with several of mine (maybe 3 from each month) to share what has made my life happy this year.

I will of course be back long before the end of the year....hahaha
Hugs & Happyings

Simple card

Today we shall mostly be making easy'n'simple cards

Challenge card to share with you all. This one is for the CR84FN colour challenge

and here is what I came up with
I have gone super simple on this one. I simply stamped the different coloured card with their matching inks to create quick and easy backing paper. It is quite hard to see the stamp but the stamped image on the tan section is from an old (ancient more like) stamp set I have.
Who are they????
See D's
Yes you heard me right, See D's stamp sets. This was one of my very first stamp sets I every ordered online. Needless to say I can't find anywhere that still stocks these, but here is the set I used: "Blooming Friends"
I have 5 other sets, which I am definately going to start using again.
The butterfly & bumble-bee stamp is from S.U. Sweet Summer, the papers and inks are also S.U. and the yellow gingham ribbon was lurking in the bottom of my sewing box.
Back really soon

Interesting post

Hello all,
my dear friend Debs has a very interesting post on her blog. Her wedding photo linked to an anniversary blog for Darnell on Ardyth's blog
I don't have one of our wedding photos on the computer, but I do have something to tickle you all
Buffy & Graham, April 1988

Yes have a good giggle, this was us way back when, we had been together 6 months when this was taken. PLEASE!!! Ignore Graham's shirt....it was the 1980's remember......
When I've scanned in a wedding pic I will post it.

Back soon

Sew busy

Back again,
I've created another duel challenge card. The two challenge sites are

It's a lovely pallete for a masculine card but I jsut couldn't resist using my new Kanban stamp

  • Stamps - Kanban Vivienne and (cardmaking mag freesbie) Sew Pretty Vintage
  • Card/Paper - S.U. textured Daffodil delight and Papermania Kraft
  • Ink - S.U. Basic grey, Night of navy and crumb cake
  • Stash - kraft coloured lace and white satin butterfly
I'm quite pleased at how the background turned out. The scissors and needle in grey, buttons in navy and the cotton reels in crumb cake (didn't have kraft ink).
But I'm very pleased with the lace at the bottom of the dress.

Back soon peeps
Take care
