Shabby Mojo

I said that was just my first card for the day!
My next card is 2 challenges in 1.
The Shabby Tea Room had a fabulous inspiration photo and I just had to see what I could do with the Mojo Monday sketch.

So, here is the card I came up with:
Nothing too complicated, the backing paper was free out of a mag and I thought went really well with the Shabby colours in the photo. I tried to pick out other colours to use as the layers and then distressed the edges a little. The sentiment is also free out of a mag and I tried to capture the metal (at the back of the photo on the wall) by using guilding flakes on the sentiment backer. Just not sure if it's very easy to see.
And of course a nive big Anemone.

I shall be back later, I just have to go get the x-box back from the repair shop, otherwise I may have to gaffer tape the kids to the oak tree down the road....lol

Disaster

Just shot over to CR84FN and the linky is closed!!!!!
It's just not my week this week!

CR84FN challenge

Morning all,
this will be my first, yes first card of the day.
CR84FN had such lovely colours this challenge I just had to have a go

I've toned the colours down a little because I wanted to create a sympathy card
I started with a cream square card blank, made a matching tan card blank and stuck them together. This created a cream inside rear and tan outside rear. I then used the angled cut offs to layer the opening panels.  The cross is stamped on cream card cut using Labels Four Small dyes and the sentiment was stamped then cut out using the S.U. large words window punch.
In case you can't read the verse:
"Loss leaves a heartache
no one can heal,
Love leaves memories
no one can steal."
All the stamped images and verse are from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.

Back in a little while

Splash of Lime

Good evening all,
I just wanted to share with you my new creation for the Play Date Cafe colour challenge.
Hope my little card hits the mark
I used the free stamp from Craft stamper, my bumble bee from Lavina stamps and my anemone spellbinder. Luck limeade, Basic black and white card.  I decided to try something a little different, I used my new gildingflakes on the flower petals. I did this by gluing through the cutter, removing the cutter then adding the flakes.

Well best get to bed I've got work in the morning

Back soon

Wedding Day Rocked

Hello all,
what a Rocking wedding. My daughter is now a married woman!
Neither her or her husband Connor have ever been conventional so after the fastest wedding ceremony on the planet, the real party started.
This is their way of showing off their wedding rings.....Rock on dude!!!
The reception was thumping (and so were our heads). Lots of moshing, headbanging, air-guitaring and jumping and that was just the bride.....LOL!
Graham actually said and I quote "I felt so proud walking her down the aisle, but I had trouble keeping up!"
Anne looked gorgeous, the bridesmaids were beautiful and the day was everything Anne and Connor wanted. So job done!
Now I just have to wait for the ringing in my ears to stop..lol

I also have slighty pink legs....photographing the racing (other side of the craft fair) I sun-creamed everything except my legs....Oops.
Back very soon with race pics and crafting bits

My Little Box

Hello All,
I have been having great fun creating a little notellete box in the colours at Colour Q challenge #149
Some of the colour are new releases so we were asked to get as close as possible.
I'm hoping I have come close enough.
Yes, I know the drawer doesn't quite fit, I will have to check my measurements again. The original design was drawer-less, so out came the ruler, pencil and calculator.......probably a decimal place in the wrong place...LOL
Anyway it was wonderful fun to make.

Commision card

Hello again all,
my supervisor's wanted a special card for his wife. She isn't really the blingy type, how do I know, simple, they live round the corner from me and our kids (although slightly different ages) have gone to school together.
He was delighted when he saw the finished article......but slightly narked because I made him write a verse for the insert. It was actually very sweet....SORRY....can't share it as it's far to personnal....
Now I just hope she likes it. I used her favourite colours, well apparently!
  • Stamps - Flower teddy (LOTV) and Sentiment (WMS)
  • Card - SU so saffron and lucky limeade plus white from stash
  • Two tiny glitter gems on the i in birthday
  • Assortment of ProMarkers
Back again tomorrow
Night night

WMS challenge card

Hello all,
what a wonderful day! I have two days off, so I have decided to craft my heart out.
My first offering for today is a card for the Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge
This simple sketch proved much harder than I thought it would. But shear determination won out and here is my creation
I am rather pleased with it. (although that bloomin ruched ribbon was a pain to do....)

I used the Playful Pinwheels stamp set, but tried to give them a slightly more floral feel. For the background I used one of the French Country stamps and the sentiment is from the Compact Sentiments set.
The envelope (little hard to see...sorry) also has a pinwheel design but I chose not to use the outline stamp, so it would have a softer look.

Be back soon
